Writer, Director, & Producer - Harry Otto Brünjes

Harry read History of Art (BA Hons) at University College London, graduating in 2005. Whilst at UCL he directed, acted and produced a number of productions for both the drama and film societies. Alongside his studies Harry’s training as an actor included summer programmes at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts (New York City) and at RADA (London)

On graduation in 2005 he declined his place at film school, opting instead to commence a two-year MA in Creative Writing (plays & scripts) at City University's Department of Journalism, writing weekly short pieces for TV, film and theatre (graduating in September 2007).

In 2005 Harry worked as an art-historical tour guide at The Vatican in Rome whilst writing the play 'Terribilita', the legend of Michelangelo, which inspired his vision for La Bella Figura.
Other current projects include a full-length play entitled, The Headmaster's Project and a new format of travel features called The Lost Traveller, for which he has directed and produced an hour-long pilot documentary.

As writer/director of numerous short films, Harry’s credits include: November 1986, The Stairs, Laughing Friday & The Discharge Trilogy (Material Trivial, Pathetic Aesthetic & Action Distraction) & The Living History TV pilots. Amongst others in development, further completed film scripts include the feature film, Innocence Restored & Circles & Lines, co-written with Chris Howarth (Arts Ed).

Theatre credits include:

and City Shorts: New Writing Festival (Pleasance Theatre, writer and co-producer) Richard III (Bloomsbury Theatre, director & producer) The Hothouse (Garage Theatre, director & actor) and Good Name (Garage Theatre, writer & actor). Harry is also an associate member of the Old Vic New Voices Club.

Other previous experience: Harry has assistant-directed an independent feature film, One For Sorro (2005) for Limetree Productions and worked on sets with Film Four, Spice Factory Productions and Tiger Aspect Films.




Cameraman & Design- James Edenborough (Ede)

James formally trained as an industrial designer at Loughborough University, which he represented at New Designers Exhibition 2006 with his final year project, a camera holster for adventure sports. His keen eye and attention to detail rapidly developed, and he began working as a freelance stills photographer for local and regional newspapers. In 2004 he co-founded a successful graphic and web design partnership, ‘The Design Elevator.’
Since shooting La Bella Figura James has shot two travel documentaries, Living History and The Lost Traveller for Deckchair productions. He has also independently produced a short film, Let sleeping dogs lie.




Composer - Eric Brünjes

Eric is a musician based in London. With numerous credits to his name, he is an in demand session guitarist. He has toured extensively throughout the UK and Europe. His list of credits includes composition and performance for television and radio, West End and international theatre and as a session musician providing lead and rhythmic accompaniment. He also produces and makes tracks for several artists in the UK and US. Currently writing his first release, La Bella Figura is his first feature length film. Sound Designer - Joe Bell

Joe Bell is a sound designer and sonic artist who works in a variety of sonic and visual formats. Joe graduated from London Guildhall in 2004 with a Music Technology BSc. Since then he has collaborated with and designed for a number of different arts, theatre and film practitioners and projects. Credits include, A Beautiful Recitation of Pi at The Whitechapel Gallery, Notes from the Underground shown at Trafalgar Studios, Junction at Clapham Junction, and JMK Trust award winning In The Solitude of Cottonfields at Battersea Arts Centre.

Joe’s current performance projects include, Beneath Quiet Surfaces, Theatre in Translation, and They Are Here. He is founder of Electric Circus Records, an open source music label providing an outlet for some great artists from all corners of the globe.




Executive Producer - Emma Brünjes

Emma is Head of Promotions and Live Producer for Avalon. Current productions: Grumpy Old Women Live (UK and Australian Tour), Frank Skinner Stand-Up (UK Tour) Jenny Eclair’s I Forgot To Get a Pension Tour (UK Tour) Lee Mack Live (UK Tour) Russell Howard – Adventures (UK Tour.) She is also producing and promoting all Avalon’s shows at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival this year, 21 in total!
Other credits as a producer include; Present: Tense 4 & 5 (nabokov,Trafalgar Studios); Old Vic New Voices: 24 Hour Plays (Old Vic Theatre), 24 Hour Plays (American Airlines Theatre, New York City), CITY Shorts: New Writing Festival (Pleasance Theatre), Richard III (The Bloomsbury Theatre), The Hothouse (Garage Theatre), and Good Name (Garage Theatre). In 2006 she won the inaugural Old Vic New Voices award for the forthcoming production of Artifacts, a new play by Mike Bartlett, directed by James Grieve. She was also awarded a Stage One Bursary and is mentored by Mark Rubinstein. Emma studied Politics and History at the London School of Economics.
